Citibot, is one of the first of its kind, which was designed to help citizens maximize their access to local governments to invoke public change in their cities.

Citibot was recently showcased in the UK based Apolitical in an article that shed light on the up-rise of chatbots across the globe. Apolitical focuses on the great new ideas in the public-private spaces so that these ideas can be shared to all communities around the world. One mention in particular was Citibot’s latest action to communicate with the citizens of North Charleston.

When is trash day? When does City Hall close? Where can I get a business license?”. These answers and more are now a quick ‘hello’ text message away for citizens in North Charleston, South Carolina.

In January 2017, Citibot was accepted into the Harbor Accelerator, a 14-week intensive program for new businesses. The series is the brainchild of the Harbor Entrepreneur Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to growing entrepreneurship and scalable companies headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina.

Citibot’s world premiere happened in North Charleston, SC, where we are the first customer service chatbot in the country implemented for a city!
