2017 US CONFERENCE OF MAYORS
Citibot appreciates and respects our mayors so much. They are the leaders fighting in the trenches every day for all citizens. And according to research, citizens trust mayors more than their state and federal leaders.
Citibot traveled to Miami, Florida to attend the 85th Annual United States Conference of Mayors (USCM), where we had the opportunity to mix and mingle with elected officials and join in on the progressive conversations happening to better our communities.
At the conference, we learned about a variety of topics, including how to make cities more pet-friendly to dealing with gun violence. We celebrated the amazing leadership displayed by outgoing USCM President Mick Cornett, Mayor of Oklahoma City, and the promise of continued guidance by New Orleans Mayor, Mitch Landrieu.
We listened to the 1963 USCM address of, then, President John F. Kennedy, instructing the mayors to return to their cities and address the issues of hatred and racial tension. It was as if he was sending us the message today, 54 years later, as his sentiments still ring true.
The sense of unity among our mayors was palpable and inspiring, and it makes us more emboldened to help our cities and counties be more accessible and responsive using our Citibot technology.
After a great trip to USCM, Citibot is ready to roll out our capabilities to all municipalities. In the spirit of Frank Luntz’s impactful presentation at USCM, Citibot it activating on the most important words for mayors: EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE, and ACCOUNTABLE.
